What is HDMI 2.1
Hdmi 2.1 is the latest version of the HDMI specification and supports a range of higher video resolutions and refresh rates, including 8k60p and 4k120p, as well as resolutions up to 10K. It also supports dynamic HDR format, and the bandwidth capacity is increased to 48Gbps.
Hdmi2.1 can be said to be one of the most important upgrades of HDMI standard. Hdmi2.1 was first released in November 2017, significantly improving the maximum transmission speed of HDMI, up to 48Gbps, and even greater when using compression. This enables high-definition multimedia to transmit up to 10K resolution at 120Hz. it also adds many new functions, including dynamic high dynamic range, support for variable refresh rate, fast media switching, automatic low latency mode and enhanced audio return (earc).
