Plasma uses the principle of countless small inert gas bulbs on the screen to form images. Due to the limitation of this principle, plasma TVs cannot be made too small, usually larger than 40 inches. Compared with LCD TV, its price is relatively cheap and its definition is poor. The thickness of plasma TV is usually about 10 cm.

Digital light display rear projection TV is actually a kind of rear projection TV. The old rear projection TV is larger in size, but this new generation of rear projection TV adopts digital technology and has a lighter shape. A special chip behind it forms an image, which is simpler than the screen of LCD TV and plasma TV.
